The Explorer section is for 14 to 18 year olds and for many young people is the fourth stage of their journey through the Scouting movement. Some Groups and/or Districts may also operate Young Leader sections and the uniform requirements are the same for both.
The Scout Association states that your child will need a shirt and trousers as the basics. Click here to shop for these items. From experience, we find the most popular size for an average 14 year old, to allow a little growing room, is a Medium. We also find that most girls are ok with the boys shirts as they have a slightly longer arm length. The trousers are the same throughout the different sections, so if you child has come through the Scout section, you may not need to purchase another pair at this stage.
Your Group or District will normally provide the neckerchief and woggle when they are invested.
There are a great many other items that you can purchase if you wish including clothing, gifts and woggles. Many of these items will make great gifts for Birthdays or Christmas and can be viewed via the Items tab or by clicking here.
